Smells Like Burning Plastic

There are three conditions if your pellet smoker smells like burning plastic.

• Smell During Burn In

If your Z Grills pellet smoker smells like burning plastic or electrical fire during an initial burn in, your grill is burning off manufacturing oils.

• Control Panel Smoke

If smoke is coming out of your grill’s control panel, please take the steps below:

1. Turn off your grill.
2. Unscrew your controller.
3. Carefully pull the controller out of your grill.
4. If your controller has scorch marks or is damaged, please contact Customer Service.

• Damaged Wires

Damaged grill wires are a safety hazard that impact your grill’s performance. Take the steps below:

1. Turn off your grill.
2. Unscrew your controller.
3. Carefully pull the controller out of your grill.
4. Check your grill’s wires for damage.
5. If any wires are damaged, contact Customer Service.
