Can you Use a Pellet Grill in the Rain?
Yes, you can use a pellet grill in light rain. However, it would be best if you made sure that the pellet grill is in a covered but ventilated place, that the pellets are dry, and that electrical components are safe.
We would recommend analyzing the situation carefully and determining whether you should use your pellet grill in the rain or not. Consider the level of rain, the strength of the wind, and how long the bad weather conditions will likely last.
Using a Pellet Grill in the Rain: What to Know
Be Mindful of the Power Outlet
Even with a proper extension cord, though, you need to make sure to keep the plug and the extension cord out of direct rain or water.
Keep the Grill Covered
If you are expecting rain during your cookout or live in a rain prone region, we would suggest setting the grill under a covered porch. However, make sure that there is plenty of airflow and that the porch awning is quite high.
